After Hansal Mehta, Richa Chadha Tweets In Support Of Shilpa Shetty; Lauds Her Move Of Suing The Ones Defaming Her
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta came out in full support of Shilpa Shetty on July 30, after her husband Raj Kundra got accused of his involvement in inappropriate content. The filmmaker director in his series of tweets urged people to leave the actress alone, and stop proving her guilty even before the law does. Now seconding his opinion is actress Richa Chaddha. The actress came out in support of Shilpa, without mentioning the latter’s name in her tweet.

Richa stated how blaming women is now a national sport especially for the mistakes committed by men in their lives. Richa’s tweet read, “We've made a national sport out of blaming women for the mistakes of the men in their lives. Glad she's suing.” This reaction of the actress got netizens to agree with her. One of the users tweeted, “Actually she is victim of two prejudices; Being Female she has to own up and second being celebrity/Bollywood actress she does not get chance to even defend herself!”

Another user expressed the same being the case of Rhea Chakraborty, who was accused of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The user’s tweet read, “The same applies for Rhea's case.”

Richa Chadha is one of the very few actors of her generation who have every now and then voiced their opinion on different matters on social media. ALSO READ: Super Dancer Chapter 4: Raveena Tandon Says NO To Replacing Shilpa Shetty On The Dance Reality Show; Here's Why

"If you cannot stand up for her at least leave Shilpa Shetty alone and let the law decide? Allow her some dignity and privacy. It is unfortunate that people in public life ultimately are left to fend for themselves and are proclaimed guilty even before justice is meted out,” one of Hansal Mehta’s tweets had read. The other tweet seems to be hinting at the Bollywood celebs who have maintained silence amidst the controversy. He wrote, “This silence is a pattern. In good times everybody parties together. In bad times there is deafening silence. There is isolation. No matter what the ultimate truth the damage is already done.”
